Workshopping ideas with the ABILITY consortium

17 September 2024

Details

"We have been exploring different ways to prototype and test our technologies. So far paper has worked surprisingly well for early prototyping, but it also made us realize the importance of localized feedback. As such, we are looking into ways of making this type of simpler prototypes more interactive by putting the paper on a tablet running an app custom made for the purpose. A specific question we are investigating is how to best present images haptically (using a pin array, or through vibrotactile information). In the project, we are developing powerful AI tools, and these tools need to be able to output haptic feedback appropriately for the developed displays."
