User studies workshop @CEA

16 December 2024

Detalės

Two weeks ago, on the 4th and 5th of December, we had a productive workshop with our consortium partners, the University of Lund, H-Lab and Siemens at CEA List. We tested the current prototypes we have, such as the 10-inch haptic tablet recently presented at the inauguration of the Campus Louis Braille, as well as the technology for force sensing for our future pin display, but that also worked with the dotpad.

We mostly discussed the upcoming studies, individual ones at the different partners' locations and the future final user evaluations of the whole system. "Individual" studies will include studies such as finetuning the haptic feedback at CEA with the H-Lab, or testing ouputs for the pin display with the University of Lund and Siemens and will start early next year. The final user evaluation will be conducted at all the possible locations in the consortium, i.e. France, Germany and Lithuania, and most likely just before the summer. For these, we discussed and decided what would be interesting to evaluate, including which use cases.

We have a good plan in mind, we will keep you posted soon about upcoming evaluations!
